Nell’ultimo appuntamento ci siamo lasciati con la mano di fondo data. Ora procedo con la colorazione finale della parte in mattoni.
Mi preparo una miscela di cemento grigio in polvere e gesso scagliola che utilizzerò per le fughe:
Il cemento grigio tenderà a scurire e nello stesso tempo spegnere il colore dei mattoni contribuendo a dare un aspetto molto realistico. Per quanto riguarda le fughe, se successivamente si preferirà schiarirle, sarà possibile aggiungere in seguito solamente gesso scagliola.
Una volta aver preparato la miscela, la spargo lungo tutta la facciata:
La miscela, in questo modo, penetrerà nelle fughe, mentre l’eccesso lo elimino con un pennello:
Per fare in modo che il composto cementifichi e si aggrappi meglio al materiale, con uno spruzzino vaporizzo sulla facciata un po’ d’acqua.
Il cemento in polvere lo uso anche per sporcare di malta i mattoni superiori, quelli che fanno parte del crollo. Verso un po’ di polvere di cemento, dopodichè vaporizzo con acqua. Questo è l’effetto:
La parte inferiore del palazzo, procedo a ricoprirla con stucco pronto.
La scelta di usare lo stucco al posto del colore acrilico bianco è presto detta: lo stucco, una volta asciutto, con l’aiuto di un cutter o anche semplicemente con uno stuzzicadente, è possibile rimuoverne piccole parti facendo emergere il cemento sottostante. Questo permette alla struttura di assumere un realismo pressochè perfetto!
Come detto prima, decido di schiarire le fughe ripetendo il procedimento sopra descritto utilizzando solamente gesso scagliola.
Ripasso anche alcuni mattoni, sempre con ocra rossa e pennello umido, per ravvivare un po’ il colore e differenziare in maniera naturale la parete.
Comincio anche a scrostare lo stucco asciutto in alcune parti. Ecco come si presenta al momento il modello:

Barre di acciaio
Agli elementi di muratura, visto che si sta parlando di un palazzo crollato, voglio aggiungere un paio di dettagli: le barre di acciaio che, a causa della franatura della muratura, siano a vista.
Al Leroy Merlin mi procuro un tondino di ferro filettato del diametro di 2mm.
Questo procedo a verniciarlo completamente di nero.
Una volta asciutta la vernice, mi ritaglio i pezzi della misura che mi servono: 1 barra sarà lungo l’angolo verticale del palazzo, mentre 1 pezzettino di barra emergerà appena dal muro scrostato.
Questi due tondini di ferro, li passo con una spugnetta intinta nella Terra di siena naturale. Questo passaggio simulerà la ruggine:

Procedo a sporcare il tondino con del cemento, per renderlo più reale:
Ed ecco come si presenta l’angolo con le barre di acciaio che affiorano dalle macerie del muro del palazzo:
